Another recent spectacular show was at the Talon Winery Summer Concert Series here in Lexington. Great wine, great friends and kick ass rock and roll! I don't see how it can get any better than that. When you think rock you may not immediatly think wine, but the combination was a smashing success. Talon Winery does this throughout the summer every year and you should all go check it out. Bring a lounge chair or blanket and make yourselves comfortable. We certainly are looking forward to playing this show again next year. Untill then, we raise our glasses to all those involved in making this show a success! |

I would like to thank everyone who came out to the Thursday Night Live show in Lexington @ Cheapside Park on the 3rd. What a great time! The park was overflowing with guests and everyone was really enthusiastic about the Rockhouse experience.
This is a great event put on by the city of Lexington and I encourage everyone to check it out if you have not already. It is not often that you can be treated to a free concert with great bands. There are plenty of food and beverage tents so you can get your fill of some of the best that Lexington has to offer.
The event was MCed by Twitch from Z Rock 103 and it was very cool to meet him since I listen to his show everyday. The organizers and all involved were great to work with and we hope to do it again next year. Here's to you, Lexington! |

On April 25th, Rockhouse joined the Explorium and the city of Lexington for a fundraising event to benefit children and the arts in Fayette and surrounding counties. The event was held in the Atrium of Victorian Square. We would like to thank Lower 48 for providing drinks and DeSha's for providing appetizers.
We at Rockhouse believe that we are not just here to entertain you but are a part of our community and enjoy giving a little something back when we can, especially when it's for the kids. Along those same lines of giving back to the community, we would like to envite everyone out to Natasha's on August, 15th for Rockhouse's second annual Lance Armstrong Foundation Cancer Research Benefit. Last years event was held at Redmon's and we raised thousands for the cause and played for a packed house. This years event promises to be even bigger, so we've moved it to Natasha's which can handle more people. We will have an opening act this time with Bradlee Burtner joining us and there will be giveaways, door prizes and a great time had by all for a great cause (and possibly some celebrities will stop by like last year, too). We have all been touched by cancer in one way or another so come on out and help us do some good for our community and the world! See ya there! |

Natasha’s Rock and Roll takes you down many roads you may have never walked before, and that was the case when we played Natasha's in downtown Lexington. I was blown away by the cool atmosphere of this place. There was sculpture and art everywhere, and I'm not talking run of the mill stuff either. The stage was large enough for our five piece group and we had a great time. Definitely a more sophisticated venue than we usually play but everyone needs some good ol' rock and roll now and again. I also have to tell you about the food, not like anything you will find in other restaurants around the area. It was all very upscale and half of it I had never even heard of before, but having said that, it was a fantastic culinary adventure. I can't wait to eat there again, just as I am looking forward to playing Natasha's again real soon. In a nutshell, If you are looking for something different and are tired of all the assembly line, cookie cutter restaurants, you have to check this place out. The usual entertainment here is just as diverse as the food, so check out their web site for a schedule of events, there is something for everyone. I would also like to give a shout to the members of Societys Plague for coming out to see us. We hope to see you again and will be checking out a gig of yours real soon. Rock On, my brothers!! |

The Waterfront The process of getting gigs is a labor intesive one and sometimes you just don't know what you are getting yourself into. You go to various venues, give out press kits and try to convince owners that they just have to have you at their place. Sometimes you book a gig and then when you get there it's "What the hell were we thinking?" I could give you a list of bars here that fall into that catagory that we have played, but I think we will rise above all that and tell you about a venue that we really liked. The Waterfront in Winchester, Kentucky. It is located off Boonesboro Road under the bridge on the river. The owners and staff were great and the crowd was lively. We played out on the deck/patio overlooking the river and just had a really good time. Good food, drinks and a large time had by all. If you haven't checked out this out of the way place, you should! We would also like to say thanks for coming out to the members of The Southern Cruisers and The Undertakers, a couple of local biker clubs, we hope to see you guys again soon. And a couple of our favorite Rockheads, Michael and Christine, who were at one of our first shows at Redmon's in Lex. It was great to see you guys again! So, we look forward to playing The Waterfront again on November 15th, and hope to have an even bigger crowd. We think it will be an outdoor show, but if the weather doesn't cooperate, the inside is plenty big enough for rockin' out! |

RockHouse played to a near capacity crowd of hundreds at Redmon's, one of Lexington's top ten clubs, over the weekend in an effort to raise money for the Lance Armstrong Foundation. The event was a tremendous success. We had a wonderful time and supported a great cause in the process. The Lance Armstrong Foundation funds cancer research and direct care. Thanks to all those that attended, and thanks to those that went above and beyond with voluntary donations. We would also like to give an extra special thanks to our sponsors: the J. Peterman Company, The Massage Center, Fazoli's, and Fastrax. -MBB |
